The presence of Chinese smartphones with large battery capacities in Brazil continues to grow. Recently, the Oppo A7 Pro 5G obtained Anatel approval, which allows its commercialization in the country. Documents analyzed firsthand by Tecnoblog indicate that the certification was issued on Thursday, August 20th, and the device has the model code CPH2931.
This model code was confirmed to correspond to the Oppo A7 Pro 5G, as the smartphone had already received certification in Malaysia, where the commercial name was disclosed, according to information from The Tech Outlook website.
Compared to its predecessor, the main expected improvement lies in the battery, which will be increased from 7,000 mAh to 8,000 mAh. Although the System on Chip (SoC) that the A7 Pro will receive is not yet defined, it should come equipped with 8 GB of RAM and offer storage options of 128 GB or 256 GB. In the Brazilian market, expectations point to the phone being launched exclusively in the 256 GB version, following the pattern of the previous model.
Connectivity features remain the same as the A6 Pro, including 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC, common characteristics in mid-range devices.
The model will feature a significant redesign, abandoning the 'cooktop' style raised camera format. Instead, it will adopt a bar that extends over a larger part of the back, resembling the look of the iPhone Air or Realme 16, but maintaining two cameras and a circular flash with multiple LEDs.
Although there is no official confirmation, there is a possibility that this new lighting system incorporates multicolor RGB LEDs, a feature observed in Realme devices (which belongs to Oppo) and other Chinese brands.
The rest of the design maintains traditional characteristics: plastic edges, the chip tray located on the bottom left, the speaker on the bottom right, the volume and power buttons positioned on the right side, and the front camera integrated under the screen.
The packaging of the Oppo A7 Pro 5G will include a charger, either the VCB4HABH or VCB4JBBH, both with a power of 45 W. Like other brand products sold in Brazil, the Oppo A7 Pro 5G may be assembled by Grupo Multilaser, at its unit in Extrema (MG), or by Oppo itself in Dongguan, China.
To date, no dates have been released for the launch of the Oppo A7 Pro 5G in the national territory, despite the device already having certifications in other markets. As a reference point, the predecessor, Oppo A6 Pro, is available in national retail for approximately R$ 2,300.
Additionally, in its origin, Oppo launched the A7 Pro Max, which features a robust 10,000 mAh battery and uses the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC. This model should also soon be available in India under the name F35 Pro, but it has not yet obtained certification in Brazil, and there is no information about Oppo's plans to sell it locally.
