Samsung launches two gamer monitors, Odyssey G8 6K and Odyssey OLED G8, in Brazil with set prices

Samsung has introduced two new gamer monitors to the Brazilian market: the 32-inch Odyssey G8, priced at R$ 7,999, and the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8, costing R$ 10,999. These prices are valid for cash payments, and both models are already available on the manufacturer's online store.

Both products belong to the premium category, characterized by offering very high resolutions and high refresh rates. With this launch, the South Korean company is expanding the variety of its screen catalog.

Previously, Samsung had made the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G5 available in the country in May 2026, which was a more economical alternative with an OLED panel. Earlier this year, the 37-inch Odyssey G7 was launched, positioned as a large, high-performance screen option.

Odyssey OLED G8 Details

The Odyssey OLED G8 model (G80SH) is another gamer monitor with an OLED panel, featuring a 32-inch screen and 4K resolution. Its pixel density reaches 140 pixels per inch. This panel uses fourth-generation Penta Tandem QD-OLED technology, composed of five layers. Samsung states that the luminous efficiency of this panel is 1.3 times higher than that of a four-layer panel, resulting in better image quality and lower energy consumption.

In terms of performance, the Odyssey OLED G8 offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of only 0.03 ms. It also incorporates the Pulsating Heat Pipe dynamic cooling system, which uses liquids to dissipate heat, helping to prevent burn-in common in these screens. Additionally, the device has logo detection and taskbar features to dim static elements.

Other notable features include Glare Free technology, designed to reduce glare generated by reflections by 54% compared to traditional finishes, achieving a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. Regarding colors, it has VESA Display HDR True Black 500 certification, ensuring deeper contrast, and TrueBright 500, for brightness suitable for human perception. Furthermore, the Pantone seal guarantees that the Odyssey OLED G8 can reproduce over 2,100 colors and more than 110 skin tones.

Connectivity specifications include HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 2.1, and USB-C with 98W capacity, in addition to being compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync.

Odyssey G8 6K Features

The 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS) presents a 6K resolution, which provides a density of 224 pixels per inch. Its viewing angle is 178 degrees. When using its maximum resolution, it achieves a refresh rate of 165 Hz. Through the Dual Mode feature, this frequency can be increased to 330 Hz, although this requires reducing the definition to 3K. The response time of this model is 1 ms.

This device supports FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync to synchronize the graphics card with the panel, which improves fluidity during gaming. Another integrated technology is HDR10+ Gaming, which aims to optimize contrast and brightness in real time. Regarding connectivity, the Odyssey G8 6K features HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, and a USB hub.
