The Catholic University of Cordoba operates on a university campus that, following the traditional model, allocated a specific building for each area of knowledge or academic unit. However, modernity demands interdisciplinary approaches in both research and project development.
Given this need, architecture must transcend the idea of fragmentation. The goal is to improve collective coexistence and stimulate social cohesion within the academic community through more adaptable spaces. Such spaces should encourage the crossing of ideas and disciplines, paving the way for innovation and the realization of new projects.
The design of the UCC HUB was conceived to be a place that embraces the unknown, fostering creation, innovation, and the materialization of concepts, in addition to promoting interdisciplinary encounters among university members.
