According to the National Statistical Committee data, the average population density of Uzbekistan as of July 1, 2026, was 85.8 people per square kilometer. This figure increased by 1.5 people per square kilometer compared to the previous year.
In recent years, the population density of Uzbekistan has shown steady growth. For instance, on July 1, 2022, this indicator was 79.3 people per square kilometer, and in 2023, it rose to 81 people.
Subsequently, the indicator continued to grow, reaching 82.7 people per square kilometer in 2024 and 84.3 people in 2025.
Thus, over the period from 2022 to 2026, the average population density of Uzbekistan increased by 6.5 people per square kilometer, rising from 79.3 to 85.8 people. In percentage terms, the growth during this period amounted to about 8.2%.
Compared to the 2025 figures, the population density grew by 1.5 people per square kilometer, which corresponds to an increase of approximately 1.8%.
