The Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary, drew attention to a video recording of BPSC examiner Rajesh Kumar Singh, which went viral in connection with the 70th BPSC exam. The Minister instructed the Department of General Administration to suspend the concerned official. Samrat Chaudhary took action after the examiner apologized for his remarks.
The situation unfolded in Gardanibagh, Patna, where students are holding a demonstration demanding the cancellation of the 70th BPSC exam. Students accuse the exam of alleged leaks and irregularities. While speaking to the media, when asked about alleged violations and leaks in the 70th BPSC exam by Rajesh Kumar Singh, he stated that students could approach the court if they considered their accusations valid.
Subsequently, the examiner asked media representatives not to publish what he was about to say. After this, he uttered the phrase: 'Hati chale bazar, kutta bhanke hazar' (Elephants go to market, a dog barks a thousand). A controversy arose after this video appeared. Later, Rajesh Kumar Singh apologized for using this inappropriate idiom.
After the video went viral, Minister Samrat Chaudhary intervened in the situation and directed the Department of General Administration to suspend the activities of the relevant employee. The student action in Gardanibagh is not only related to the 70th BPSC exam; they are also demanding the publication of the TRE-4 announcement and protesting against the proposal to conduct the TRE-4 exam in two phases.
Students continue to demand the cancellation of the exam, alleging leaks and procedural misconduct in the 70th BPSC exam, and have been holding a protest at the demonstration site in Gardanibagh for the past few days.
