Tashkent leads in food production volume in Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistical Committee, large enterprises in Uzbekistan produced food products worth 75.2 trillion soums from January to June 2026. This figure demonstrates a 12% growth compared to the same period in 2025.

The largest production volume for the first six months of the year was recorded in Tashkent, where large enterprises produced food products worth 13.9 trillion soums.

Tashkent region took second place in volume with a figure of 10.7 trillion soums, and Samarkand region came in third place with 10.1 trillion soums.

Andijan and Fergana regions achieved the same production volume—5.6 trillion soums each. Next are Bukhara region with 4.7 trillion soums, Kashkadarya region with 4.6 trillion soums, and Namangan region with 4.5 trillion soums.

Large enterprises in Karakalpakstan and Navoi region produced 3.2 trillion soums of products. In Khorezm region, this figure amounted to 2.4 trillion soums. Production in Syrdarya and Surkhandarya regions reached 2.3 trillion soums each.

The smallest production volume among the represented regions was recorded in Jizzakh region, which amounted to 2.1 trillion soums. Overall, Tashkent, Tashkent region, and Samarkand region demonstrated the largest volumes of food production among large enterprises in Uzbekistan in January-June 2026.
