Representatives of the provincial tourism department reported that Iraqi students studying in Kermanshah province in Iran are planned to be prepared as 'tourism ambassadors'. Their task will be to promote the historical and cultural attractions of this province in their home country.
This plan was discussed at a meeting of coordinators between the Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Crafts of Kermanshah and the head of the branch of the Islamic Azad University in Kermanshah. The main topic of the meeting was determining possible directions for cooperation in the field of tourism.
Fahime Roshan, deputy director of the tourism department, mentioned that courses are being considered to train students as tour guides. Graduates will be able to pass the relevant exam and, if successful, receive guide certificates, as well as enjoy associated benefits.
Roshan emphasized the rich historical heritage of Kermanshah, noting that the province has over 4000 registered and unregistered historical sites. She added that training guides can contribute to job creation in the near future and help popularize and present the culture and history of this region.
Furthermore, Roshan highlighted the increasing importance of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in tourism. The province aims to utilize student knowledge and youth potential to strengthen Kermanshah's presence in digital tourism and AI, as well as to present its attractions to an international audience.
