Fiat has introduced the 2027 line of the Fastback with a novelty that formalizes a feature previously available only as an optional package: the Smart Drive version. This model costs R$ 127,990 and comes from the factory with the set of items that were previously sold separately in the entry-level Turbo 200 configuration up to the 2026 line.
This package includes six functionalities that required extra cost: rearview camera, body-colored door handles, remote start, glossy black exterior mirrors, keyless entry, and wireless phone charger. All other features were already part of the Turbo 200, such as electronic parking brake with Auto Hold, rear parking sensor, LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, darkened upholstery, and an 8.4-inch multimedia center.
The price analysis shows the change: in the 2026 line, the Turbo 200 without options was priced at R$ 119,990, while the same unit with the Smart Drive package reached R$ 126,990. With the integrated content from the factory, the 2027 Smart Drive version is sold for R$ 127,990, representing an increase of R$ 1,000 compared to the previous combination and R$ 8,000 above the Turbo 200, which maintained its price.
Frederico Battaglia, Head of Fiat and Abarth brands for South America, justified the creation of the Smart Drive version as a response to the high acceptance rate of the package among consumers. He stated that they identified a growing demand for driving assistance technologies and decided to integrate this content into a dedicated version of the Fastback line, aiming for greater accessibility.
Furthermore, the 2027 line presents a modification not emphasized by Fiat: the 1.0 turbo T200 engine has been recalibrated, now producing 116 hp with both gasoline and ethanol, compared to the 125 hp and 130 hp of the previous generation. The torque remains stable at 20.4 kgfm at 2,000 rpm. According to the official technical sheet, the Smart Drive can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 189 km/h.
A variation of the Smart Drive, called the BlackMotion special edition, will be launched for R$ 129,980 and will be available at dealerships starting in September. The distinctions between the models lie in the visual aspect: 17-inch glossy black alloy wheels, two-tone roof, specific logo, front skid plate, and dark-finished air vent trim, in addition to having a 10.1-inch multimedia center.
The rest of the coupe SUV line, which has a length of 4.44 m, continues with the Audace version, for R$ 168,490, and Impetus, for R$ 174,490, both equipped with the 12-volt MHEV mild hybrid system. The Abarth version costs R$ 184,490 and is the only one that uses the 1.3 turbo T270 engine, which delivers 185 hp and 27.5 kgfm. The old Limited version, which also used this engine, has been removed from the catalog. Sales of this new lineup began on August 20.
