The Indian company Lava has introduced its new smartphone, the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G, developing it to address common mobile user issues such as fast battery drain, low camera quality, and slowdowns over time.
The main feature of this phone is a large 6000 mAh battery. Lava is launching this product into the market at a time when consumers of smartphones priced around 15,000 rupees expect not only 5G support but also long battery life, a good camera, and improved software.
The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G smartphone will be available in India for 15,999 rupees, but special offers may reduce its effective cost to 13,999 rupees. Sales are scheduled to begin on August 31st at 12:00 on the Flipkart platform.
The device's primary advantage is its 6000 mAh battery, which is especially important for those who use their phone actively throughout the day—whether watching videos, using social media, making calls, or being away from home for extended periods. In the budget smartphone segment, manufacturers often compromise on the battery or other features; Lava has made the large battery a central characteristic of the Virat V1 Pro 5G, supplementing it with 5G support.
The phone is equipped with a 50 MP AI main camera, as well as a dual rear camera system. A front camera of 8 MP is provided for selfies and video calls.
The Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display. The screen refresh rate is 120 Hz, which provides a smoother feel when scrolling content and performing other operations on the screen. However, it should be noted that the screen resolution is HD+, not Full HD+, which might be a factor for buyers who prefer very sharp images.
The device runs on Android 16 and is powered by the Unisoc T8200 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. This smartphone is aimed at users who need a 5G phone for daily tasks, social media use, video viewing, and general gaming. Lava's Virat series is positioned by the company as a line of smartphones targeting online users, and the Virat V1 Pro 5G is the third model in this series after the Virat V1 4G and Virat V1 5G.
Furthermore, the Lava Virat V1 Pro 5G has an IP64 rating, which provides protection against dust and water splashes, although this does not mean the phone can be submerged in water.
