Vertex Group, based in the USA, is launching into the segment of events that stimulate travel, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in India through its company Vertex Travel. The Head and President of Vertex Group, Gagan Arora, announced this on Monday.
The group plans to initially invest 75 crore rupees to develop an integrated platform for business travel and MICE. These funds will be distributed over 18 months across three areas: technology, human resources, and network development.
Arora noted that the company will evaluate metrics such as client acquisition, repeat orders, revenue quality, program profitability, customer satisfaction, technology adoption, and operational model scalability. He added that upon achieving expected market dynamics and business indicators, Vertex Travel is ready to increase investment volume.
The immediate priority is to establish strong positions in key segments, build a portfolio of high-quality corporate clients, and create recurring business in the field of meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions, and managed corporate travel.
The head of Vertex Group stated the intention to establish a significant presence in major commercial centers of India while simultaneously expanding into new industrial and business hubs. Concurrently, the international network in Asia, the Middle East, CIS markets, and Europe will be deepened to support Indian enterprises traveling abroad, as well as to host international organizations conducting events in India.
This move in the area of business travel and MICE is part of Vertex Group's broader strategy, named Vertex 2.0. This strategy aims to strengthen the company's global capabilities, integrate its business lines, and build a scalable operational model for the next phase of international growth.
The company has appointed Vikram Malik as the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) of Vertex Travel. With experience in the hospitality and travel industry, Malik will lead the vertical growth strategy, industry partnerships, and client engagement as Vertex Travel expands its presence in the Indian corporate travel and MICE ecosystem.
Arora shared his vision, stating that by 2030, Vertex Travel should capture a significant share of the organized corporate MICE market and be recognized as one of the leading integrated platforms in this category.
Vertex Group marked its tenth anniversary by adding Vertex Travel, and now operates in 10 specialized business verticals: Vertex Global Services, Vertex Next, Vaani Infosystem, Vertex Tech, ILC Solutions, Vertex Learning, VSilverleaf, DK Vertex, T Ventures, and Vertex Travel. The company has set an ambitious goal to create a diverse team of over 10,000 people, develop a global network covering 100,000 specialists, and generate 1 million opportunities worldwide, while simultaneously implementing a plan to create a global corporate services business worth 1,000 crore rupees.
