CEO Parkin announced plans to expand operations into other Gulf Cooperation Council emirates and countries

The CEO of Parkin Company stated that the company plans to expand its operations into other emirates and is actively exploring opportunities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The head of the Dubai-based company noted that the parking services operator continues to see significant investment potential in urban development, smart cities, and mobility infrastructure.

In an exclusive interview with Khaleej Times, Mohammed Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, revealed that they are studying expansion options outside the UAE, utilizing various models, including technology-driven parking management operations and consultancy partnerships.

Al Ali added that the company is currently assessing the geopolitical situation and anticipates the right moment to announce the next phase of expansion. He emphasized that several options are on the table and under discussion, pending the emergence of a good opportunity and ensuring security.

Although the CEO declined to name a specific country at this stage, he hinted at the Gulf region. He reminded that Parkin possesses over thirty years of experience in parking management technologies, a competence easily applicable to other markets in the GCC region and beyond.

Recently, the parking operator announced plans to expand into Egypt, marking the company's first move outside its home country. A memorandum of understanding was signed with three Egyptian companies—Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, Mwasalat Misr, and Redcon Properties—to support North Africa's parking and transport infrastructure.

Geographical expansion is one of Parkin's key strategic directions, and management continues to evaluate the scope of opportunities to enhance parking operations. Recently, the company has been considering Sharjah as a potential target for new investments.

In mid-July, Parkin Company launched a ticketless paid parking facility in the Al Jaddah area, with more points expected as expansion continues within the emirate. Al Ali also mentioned being in discussions with one of the emirates regarding private developers.

Furthermore, Parkin recently partnered with Abu Dhabi-based parking operator Q Mobility to integrate their smart parking systems across two emirates. This will allow residents and visitors to use a single channel for parking payment or access to other services, regardless of which emirate they are in.
