Actress Anangsha Biswas had to face significant difficulties to survive in the film industry. In one of her podcasts, she made candid statements about so-called 'casting couches.'
In a conversation with Shubodhit Ghosh, Anangsha recounted how a middle-aged man offered her to become his 'sugar daddy,' which shocked her.
Anangsha shared that when she first entered the industry, a 70-year-old producer told her: 'Look, here are the keys to your house and car. But you just need to live with me for one year. We will shoot a film because I didn't have money then.'
The actress specified that this person is a well-known producer in the film industry and is still active in the field. She also reported that this person promoted himself as a 'sugar daddy.'
Anangsha explained that at the time she was fighting for her place in the industry, and after that, an argument happened at home. Therefore, she could not discuss such things at home because her family cares for her very much. If she told her parents, her father, according to her, would demand that she drop everything and return home, so she did not tell them anything.
The actress admitted that she did not know about such things in the industry as a newcomer and was astonished by what she heard. She said that after telling this person that she was leaving, she immediately left the meeting place. Later, upon returning home, she cried heavily.
Anangsha gained fame through her role as Jarina in the web series 'Mirzapur,' which made her an internet sensation. However, after that, she started receiving abusive messages from people.
