China has unveiled its delegation to participate in the 48th WorldSkills Championship, which will take place in Shanghai from September 22 to 27.
The Chinese delegation consists of 220 people, among whom 71 participants will take part in all 64 competitive disciplines. These participants represent 21 provincial-level regions of China, including 58 men and 13 women.
Among the participants, 49 are students and 22 are employees. The average age of the delegation is 21 years, with the youngest participant being over 18 years old and the oldest being 25 years old.
According to an official representative of China's Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the competitions will cover six main areas: manufacturing, transport, construction, information and communication technologies, creative arts and fashion, as well as social and personal services. This event is expected to be the largest in WorldSkills history, gathering about 1400 participants from nearly 70 countries and regions.
