Sanjeev Kapoor's Carrot and Beetlet Recipe for Children

For many parents, persuading children to eat vegetables is a serious issue that requires daily attention. When children see carrots, beets, or any other vegetables on their plate, they often start making faces and may refuse to eat altogether.

Because of this, parents are constantly looking for ways to best serve vegetables to children. If you face this problem, this information may be useful to you. A simple and tasty way to introduce vegetables into children's diet is presented in the form of a favorite snack that they can enjoy eating.

Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor shared a recipe for equally appetizing carrot and beet cutlets. These cutlets are not only colorful but also perfect for a children's lunch.

To begin cooking, take a large bowl and add grated boiled potatoes. Then, mix in grated carrots and beets. After that, add finely chopped cilantro and green pepper.

Next, add ground garam masala, red pepper, salt to taste, and fresh breadcrumbs to this mixture. All ingredients are thoroughly mixed until the mass starts to hold together well and acquires a dough-like consistency.

After that, lightly grease your palms with oil and divide the resulting mass into equal portions. Each portion is first formed into a round base, and then gently pressed between the palms into a cutlet shape.

Heat a non-stick baking sheet over medium heat and grease it with a small amount of oil. As soon as the oil heats up, place the cutlets on the pan, trying not to put too many at once. Fry the cutlets on both sides for several minutes. When they become golden-brown and crispy on both sides, remove them from the pan and place them on absorbent paper or a napkin to remove excess fat.

These colorful carrot and beet cutlets are recommended to be served with tomato ketchup. Before putting them in the child's lunchbox, they need to cool down a bit. The dish can also be supplemented with Mahana masala or any other light snack of the child's choice. Thus, healthy food becomes more appealing to children who are reluctant to eat vegetables.
