The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, initiated the creation of the Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent. According to a statement from the presidential press service of Uzbekistan, a four-hectare plot has been allocated for this new public space.
This park is envisioned as a modern public area that will reflect the culture, centuries-old history, and national traditions of Azerbaijan. The project aims to become a place to showcase cultural ties and friendship between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
During the ceremony, both presidents solemnly laid symbolic capsules on the territory of the future park, officially launching the project.
The initiative to create national parks in the capitals of both countries is mutual. During Mirziyoyev's state visit to Azerbaijan, a capsule was laid in the White City area of Baku, marking the start of the project for the future Uzbekistan Park.
The Uzbekistan Park in Baku will occupy an area of 4.5 hectares. It is planned that this site will host a complex demonstrating the culture and traditions of Uzbekistan, as well as elements of its national architectural heritage. The project includes architectural representations of historical monuments of Uzbekistan, green areas, and pedestrian paths.
Thus, the Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent and the Uzbekistan Park in Baku are intended to symbolize friendship, mutual respect, and spiritual bonds between the two peoples.
