New Campus of Nizami Pedagogical University Opened in Tashkent

The new campus of the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan in the city of New Tashkent was solemnly opened in the presence of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

As part of the ceremony, both leaders inspected the educational and research facilities of the campus. Mirziyoyev and Aliyev also planted a tree near the monument to Nizami Ganjavi.

The presidents received detailed information about the construction of the university complex and plans for the further development of the campus's educational infrastructure. The complex is being built on a territory of 40 hectares in two stages.

The first stage of the project includes the construction of a five-story academic building designed for 12,000 students, as well as a modern laboratory complex. Additionally, the complex will include dormitories for 5,000 people, and the building is designed in total to accommodate 20,000 students.

The leaders toured the educational and research environment created on the campus. They visited the information and resource center and the museum exhibition dedicated to the heritage of Nizami Ganjavi.

The museum presents materials related to the life and work of the Azerbaijani poet and thinker, his spiritual heritage, as well as centuries-old cultural and literary ties between the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples.

Mirziyoyev and Aliyev emphasized the importance of cooperation in the fields of education, science, and culture to strengthen the rapprochement of the two peoples and educate the younger generation based on common spiritual values.
