How to achieve radiant skin: a natural mask from gram flour, yogurt, and turmeric

The desire to have beautiful, flawless, and radiant skin is a pursuit for many people. However, in today's world, full of pollution and stress, the skin can prematurely begin to develop wrinkles, fine lines, and dullness. Constant visits to beauty salons and expensive chemical procedures are not only hard on the wallet but can also harm the skin itself.

If you want to achieve a natural, rosy glow at home without spending money, besan is the best remedy among the products available in your kitchen. Besan, which has been used for centuries to improve skin beauty, acts as a magical mask when mixed with yogurt and a pinch of turmeric.

This mixture effectively removes dead skin cells, sun tan traces, and excess oil, providing an instant effect comparable to salon treatments. Below is a guide to the ingredients and the correct way to apply this mask.

The following components are needed for preparation: 2 tablespoons of besan, 2 tablespoons of sour milk or thick fresh yogurt (rose water can be used for oily skin), a quarter teaspoon of turmeric (or regular kitchen turmeric), and 1 teaspoon of rose water (optional).

First, take 2 tablespoons of besan in a clean bowl. Add a quarter teaspoon of turmeric, 2 tablespoons of sour milk (or yogurt), and 1 teaspoon of rose water to form a smooth and thick paste.

Before applying the mask, thoroughly cleanse your face with a mild cleanser or plain water to remove dust and dirt. Then, evenly spread the prepared paste over the face and neck, avoiding the sensitive area around the eyes.

Leave the mask on the face for 15–20 minutes, until it is slightly dry, but do not let it become too stiff or dry. When the mask is about 80% dry, wet your hands with a little water or rose water and gently massage the mask off in circular motions for 1–2 minutes. This will help exfoliate dead skin cells.

Afterward, rinse your face with clean or lukewarm water and gently pat dry with a towel. Be sure to apply a light moisturizing cream or aloe vera gel to retain moisture in the skin. For the best results and to achieve a natural rosy glow, this homemade besan mask should be used 2–3 times a week.
