IMD issues warning: heavy rains expected in some areas of Uttar Pradesh on August 24

The influence of the monsoon season continues in Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest forecast from the meteorological service, on August 24, there is a probability of precipitation or short-term thunderstorms in many places in the eastern part of the state, while rain may occur in isolated areas in the western part. Furthermore, strong rains are predicted for some locations in eastern Uttar Pradesh from August 24 to 27.

According to the forecast from the meteorological center in Lucknow for August 24, rain or short-term thunderstorms are possible in several places in western Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, rain is expected in numerous settlements in eastern Uttar Pradesh. This means that rainfall activity in Purvanchal may remain relatively high on Monday compared to Sunday.

According to the meteorological service, the monsoon was operating normally in the state on August 23. Precipitation was recorded in many places in both the western and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. Significant rains occurred in various areas within the last 24 hours up to 8:30 AM.

The highest amount of precipitation, namely 9 centimeters, was registered in Muzaffarnagar. Additionally, 8 centimeters fell in Jansaath of Muzaffarnagar, 7 centimeters in Barabanki of Haidargarh, and 5 centimeters or more were recorded in Pratapgarh in Pratapgarh, Mau in Chitrakhdo, Najibabad in Bijnor, and Rajghat in Varanasi.

Regarding temperature, there were no significant fluctuations in daytime and nighttime temperatures in the state on August 23. The highest temperature reached that day was 38.0 degrees Celsius in Chhansi, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Bahraich and Barabanki at 22.0 degrees Celsius.

Overall, it is expected that rains will continue in Uttar Pradesh on August 24. Localized rains are possible in western Uttar Pradesh, while the sky in most of eastern Uttar Pradesh may be cloudy, with thunderstorms expected in some places.
