Bobby Deol concerned about being associated only with the villain role after cinematic success

In the Bollywood industry, it is often the case that an actor becomes known for a specific type of role and continues to receive similar offers for some time. This trend is also observed with Bobby Deol. Since his return to cinema, he has more frequently appeared in roles as villains or dark characters. His previous works, such as the film 'Jan Nayagan', also included a villainous role, and in the latest feature film 'Alpha', he played the main antagonist.

Following the success of projects like 'Animal' and 'Ashram', Bobby Deol has been offered more villain roles. However, the actor himself is worried that constantly playing the same type of character will lead to him being perceived solely as a 'typecast'. Recently, in an interview with Jagran magazine, he discussed his villain roles.

Dharmavir's son, Bobby Deol, noted that he is constantly offered villain roles, but he consciously tries to move beyond this image. He explained that it is customary in the industry that if an actor succeeds in a certain type of character, they continue to be offered similar roles.

In an interview with a news agency, Bobby Deol also commented on his recurring roles. He stated that he is making every effort to move away from the established image. He mentioned that he recently starred in the film 'Bandar', which is drastically different from his past work. He also emphasized that even among villainous characters there are many shades and facets, and he enjoys playing diverse heroes. Furthermore, he plans to participate in several web series that will be very different from his other projects.

The film 'Bandar', in which Bobby starred, will soon be released on the JioCinema platform and was directed by Anurag Kashyap. Although the film received high praise, it did not achieve commercial success at the box office. In this movie, the actor played a character against whom a woman files a false lawsuit.

Regarding Bobby Deol's future projects, he is preparing to return to the role of Baba Nirala. Filming for the fourth season of the series 'Ashram' by Prakash Jha has begun, which audiences are eagerly awaiting.
