The dispute over the song 'Brown Rang' between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah in the Indian hip-hop industry has been a topic of discussion for a long time, as both artists have claimed to have written its lyrics. Music lovers often debate who the true author of this iconic track is. Recently, the renowned rapper MC Square offered his reaction to this issue.
While appearing on Lallantop's 'Guest in the Newsroom' show, MC Square openly shared his opinion on this long-standing dispute between Honey Singh and Badshah and their writing capabilities.
When asked during the interview who wrote the song 'Brown Rang,' MC Square smiled and said that regardless of who wrote the song, it is excellent and its music is fantastic. He also mentioned that the author might be listening, but they are not entirely sure who created it. He simply reiterated that whoever did the work created an extremely beautiful song and music.
When comparing Badshah and Honey Singh, and being asked who is better at writing, MC Square named Badshah without hesitation. He explained that Honey Singh himself writes very few of his songs; he has lyricists who prepare the words. He added that although the general public might not know this, it can be easily understood by looking at the credits provided on YouTube or in the song descriptions. He admitted that Honey Paji might have written them himself before, but now he has a full team of writers. In contrast, Badshah Bhai still writes most of his songs himself, so from a writing perspective, Badshah is better, although Honey Singh is unmatched in the field of music production.
Speaking about his relationships with both legends, MC Square clarified that he respects both of them. He mentioned that when he is with Badshah, he talks to him, and when he is with Honey Paji, he spends time with him. People might perceive tension between them, but according to him, there is nothing like that; everything is normal and organized.
Discussing the long-running disagreements between Badshah and Honey Singh, he stated that whenever this old dispute comes up behind the scenes or privately, the conversation is not very serious. He said that whenever an old matter resurfaces, the conclusion is just that 'it was a phase.' The conversation ends there, and both artists move forward remembering that past time.
