The appearance of government schools in Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has been transformed, beginning to attract the attention of parents. Thanks to the joint efforts of the municipal council and Muradabad Smart City, the range of amenities in schools under the Primary Education Council has been significantly expanded.
Under the 'Mission Kayakalp' initiative, steps are being taken to modernize educational institutions and create a more favorable learning environment for children. Approximately 97 million rupees were spent on the implementation of this campaign. Of this amount, about 85 million rupees were allocated to upgrading 48 government schools, and about 12 million rupees were used to convert 80 classrooms into digital auditoriums.
Now, learning in these schools is not limited to the traditional blackboard and chalk. Digital boards have been installed in the classrooms, and smart classes have been equipped. Furthermore, a system for providing clean drinking water through Reverse Osmosis (RO) units has been organized for students. These modern amenities have changed the atmosphere in the schools, which is reflected in the number of students.
According to the Municipal Commissioner and CEO of Muradabad Smart City, about three years ago, 48 primary schools were taken under the care of 'Mission Kayakalp' for their comprehensive development, and 80 digital classrooms were created. Officials note that the goal of this program is to provide children with quality education combined with technological resources.
These improvements have also become noticeable in parental choices. Some families are transferring their children from private institutions to government 'smart' schools. This demonstrates growing trust in government schools, which now possess modern resources.
One such student, Prakash Kumar Mishra, recounted that he previously attended a private school. When his father learned about the availability of a digital classroom in the government school, he decided to enroll his son there. Prakash noted that the digital boards made it easier to understand the study material, and the use of technology in the classroom facilitates subject absorption. He also mentioned the clean water from RO and other necessary amenities that contribute to changing the learning environment.
Administrative bodies monitored the progress of the development work in these government schools in Muradabad. District officials and other officers conducted surprise inspections to assess the available conditions. Officials emphasize that through 'Mission Kayakalp', efforts continue to ensure that government schools provide an environment where children can receive both quality education and modern amenities.
Within 'Mission Kayakalp', attention was paid not only to the development of school buildings but also to the introduction of digital education. The creation of 80 digital classrooms and the upgrade of 48 educational institutions aim to integrate the public education system with technology. The administration asserts that this initiative is an important step towards providing the best set of resources to the future generation.
The impact of connecting Muradabad's government schools to 'smart' amenities is now visible not only in the buildings and classrooms but also in the increase in enrolled students. Parents bringing children from private institutions attribute this to improved conditions and a higher quality learning atmosphere.
