German Armed Forces began recruiting candidates through doner kebab advertising wraps

The German Armed Forces, known as the 'Bundeswehr,' attracted public attention after local residents discovered that they had started placing recruitment advertisements on doner kebab wraps in Berlin's food establishments.

Customers who bought doner kebabs across the country were surprised to notice the unusual career offer on the wrap. According to the publication Berlin Kurier, the wrap, filled with doner, garlic sauce, and cabbage, bore the inscription 'One career with everything' and was designed in camouflage style.

Furthermore, the wrap featured a QR code that leads to the official Bundeswehr website for nationwide soldier recruitment. The Ministry of Defence stated that it is looking for potential candidates whose daily lives range 'from social media to the train station or to the doner kebab shop.'

The statement emphasizes that thanks to the wide range of promotional materials, they reach not only young people at the stage of choosing a profession but also individuals wishing to change careers or skilled workers who can envision a future in the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). This set of materials also includes so-called 'background measures,' which include the kebab packages.

According to Berlin Kurier, citing the Ministry of Defence, fast-food owners voluntarily agree to use and distribute the provided promotional materials. Establishments receive branded packaging free of charge. This means that volunteer owners save over 30 euros as they do not need to purchase the wraps themselves.
