Uzbekistan U-17 National Team to Play Friendly Matches Against Uruguay and Spain

The national team of Uzbekistan has scheduled three friendly matches for the autumn period. The opponents for the team, led by Fabio Cannavaro, are Iran, Argentina, and South Korea.

The first meeting is set for September 24th and will take place in Tashkent, where the Uzbek team will host the Iranian national team. It should be noted that both teams failed to advance from their groups at the recent World Cup.

Next, on September 30th, the national team will play against Argentina. This game is scheduled to take place in China, although information regarding the specific city, stadium, and match start time has not yet been provided.

The series of friendly games will conclude with an away match against South Korea, which is planned for October 6th. Thus, the Uzbeks will have to play three football matches in less than two weeks.

Earlier, Fabio Cannavaro summarized the participation of the Uzbekistan national team in the 2026 World Cup. The Italian coach noted that the experience gained by the team will serve as a stimulus for future performances.

According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, the Uzbekistan national team will hold a friendly match against Argentina on September 30 in China.

This match is part of the team's preparatory program before the 2027 Asian Cup. The Uzbek team will be managed by head coach Fabio Cannavaro in the game against the Argentinians.

Before this match, Uzbekistan will play a friendly match against Iran on September 24 in Tashkent. Both scheduled matches will be part of the upcoming international break.
