According to a statement from the Uzbekistan Tennis Federation, Uzbekistan can field three women at the US Open 2026 tournament. Kamilla Rakhimova and Maria Timofeeva have secured spots in the main draw, while Polina Kudermetova will begin her journey in the qualifying tournament.
Kamilla Rakhimova is ranked 78th in the WTA rankings, and Maria Timofeeva is ranked 84th. Polina Kudermetova, who holds world ranking 111th, will start her campaign in the qualifiers. If she successfully passes this stage, she will have a chance to enter the main draw of the tournament.
Thus, Uzbekistan potentially has the opportunity to set a record for the number of representatives in the women's singles category at the Grand Slam tournament. In previous years, Denis Istomin and Akgul Amanmuradova participated in New York.
The US Open 2026 will take place in New York from August 23 to September 13. The tournament's prize fund will reach a record $108 million USD. Players who advance to the first round of the main singles tournament will receive $140,000 USD.
