The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to conduct a re-examination of the All India Entrance Examination for Postgraduate Education in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AIAPGET) 2026 for 49 candidates who were unable to complete the exam due to a power supply failure at the center in Jaipur.
The AIAPGET 2026 entrance test was held on August 22 in two shifts in computer format. A total of 51,482 applications were submitted, with 49,867 people participating in the exam.
The exam was conducted in 205 centers across the country. However, in one school in Jaipur, a power outage prevented 49 participants from completing the test.
Following the incident, the National Testing Agency announced a re-session. This decision applies exclusively to the 49 affected candidates. According to NTA information, the re-examination will take place on September 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur. NTA will provide the affected candidates with updated passes and full information about the re-examination, including relevant instructions.
AIAPGET is intended for national admission to postgraduate programs in the fields of Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. Successfully passing this test grants candidates the right to enroll in various postgraduate courses in Ayurveda. AIAPGET scores are used for college admissions.
Reports indicate that the outage also affected the second shift of the exam. Due to the lack of electricity at the testing center, candidates taking the later exam faced difficulties. Participants of the second shift, who were required to arrive at the center between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM, had to wait outside the center for a long time as the electricity problem persisted, with some waiting until 3:00 PM.
