How to quickly prepare juicy halva from singhara without sugar and milk

Since tomorrow is the last Monday of the month, Savan, it is suggested to prepare homemade juicy halva from singhara flour instead of store-bought sweets, especially if you are observing a fast. Singhara flour is considered the best product for quickly providing energy to the body during a fast.

However, halva is often prepared using a large amount of sugar and milk, which makes it heavy for digestion. If you want to avoid artificial additives and high-calorie foods, you can prepare juicy singhara halva without sugar and milk.

This halva, made with natural sweetness from cane sugar and pure ghee, is not only very tasty and juicy but also ready in just 10 minutes. Below is a list of ingredients and the simplest way to prepare it.

Ingredients

For preparation, you will need:

  • Singhara flour — 1 cup
  • Cane sugar (crushed) — 3/4 cup
  • Water (warm) — 2.5 cups
  • Ghee (clarified butter) — 4 tablespoons
  • Green cardamom powder — 1/2 teaspoon
  • Almonds and cashews (chopped) — 2 tablespoons

Preparation Method

First, take 2.5 cups of warm water in a saucepan and add the crushed cane sugar to dissolve it completely. Then, strain this mixture through a sieve.

Pour 1 tablespoon of ghee into a frying pan and fry the chopped almonds and cashews until lightly golden brown, then remove them to a plate.

Now, add the remaining 3 tablespoons of ghee to the frying pan and stir in 1 cup of singhara flour. Fry the flour over low heat, stirring constantly, until it turns light brown and begins to emit an earthy aroma.

Reduce the heat to a minimum. Gradually, in small portions, pour in the sugar syrup while vigorously stirring with a whisk or spatula to prevent lumps from forming.

After this, continue cooking the halva over medium heat, stirring continuously. Singhara flour absorbs water very quickly and starts to thicken in about 2 minutes.

When the halva starts to separate from the bottom of the pan, add the cardamom powder and 1 tablespoon of ghee on top for shine and juiciness. Sprinkle with the fried nuts on top and turn off the gas. The finished juicy halva without sugar and milk is served hot.
