Ethiopian Airlines expands air connections with Kinshasa, DRC

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest airline and one of the fastest-growing global brands, has announced the launch of a new flight to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The airline reported this week that it is increasing its service to the DRC by adding daily round-trip daytime flights to Kinshasa, starting on December 1, 2026.

Ethiopian Airlines' expansion of services in the DRC capital will increase the total number of weekly flights between Kinshasa and the airline to 21. In addition to specialized passenger and cargo transport to Kinshasa, the airline also operates passenger flights to other cities in the DRC, such as Lubumbashi and Goma.

Ethiopian Airlines noted that since its first flight to the city in 1975, it has provided continuous service to the route, which significantly strengthens socio-economic ties between Kinshasa and the rest of its global network.

Furthermore, in December 2024, Ethiopian Airlines entered into a partnership with the DRC government to launch Air Congo.
