Iranian Artist Armin Amiriian Presents Work on the Iranian Constitutional Revolution at Exhibition in the USA

Iranian photographer and filmmaker Armin Amiriian is participating in the thirteenth international FL3TCH3R exhibition in the United States with his work 'The Iranian Constitutional Revolution.'

The exhibition runs from August 7 to September 27 at the Fishman Gallery in Johnson City, Tennessee. The works for this exhibition were selected by the jury and this year's curator, Jessica Burke.

The piece 'The Iranian Constitutional Revolution' is part of Amiriian's series titled 'Before History Freezes,' which he began creating in 2020, continuing his narrative approach to art.

Within this series, figures associated with the Iranian Constitutional Revolution are depicted under a layer of ice, representing a visual interpretation of a key period in the country's modern history.

The Constitutional Revolution, which began in 1905 and concluded with the establishment of a constitutional system in Iran, was a significant turning point in the political and social development of the state. The movement aimed to establish the rule of law and limit absolute monarchical power through the creation of a parliament and constitutional framework.

Amiriian's participation in the Fletcher exhibition marks another stage in his international artistic career, which includes over one hundred exhibitions and festivals worldwide. He has previously received various awards, including the Outstanding Artist Award from the Fletcher Foundation.

Works from the 'Before History Freezes' series have previously been shown in solo exhibitions in Iran, Italy, and France, as well as in international venues such as the Saatchi Gallery in London, and in exhibitions in the United States, Germany, and Spain.

The Fletcher exhibitions were established in memory of Fletcher Dyer to continue his legacy of highlighting social and political issues through art. The annual exhibition provides an international platform for artists whose work addresses contemporary socio-political themes.

This year's exhibition features works selected by Burke, who serves as a member of the jury and curator for the thirteenth edition. The Fletcher exhibition award ceremony is scheduled for September 4 at the Fishman Gallery.
