Thanks to the active efforts and protests of the students, the appearance of Jodhavas school in the Tanagadi area, Alwar district, has changed. Previously, the school suffered from a serious shortage of basic amenities, which drew the attention of the publication Aaj Tak, which covered this issue.
After the Ministry of Education took action, infrastructure development work immediately began at the school, and conditions for the children started to improve. Currently, the school has installed a water purification complex (RO Plant), and the student toilets have been renovated. A drilling system has also been organized to ensure water supply.
Furthermore, the old building is being dismantled using an excavator, and the roof of rooms in another building has been waterproofed. Work on a new building and sports ground is planned soon.
A few days ago, students of Jodhavas school in Tanagadi held a resolute protest against the current state of school conditions. Representatives of the CJP party also joined this protest. The two-day protests were marked by the active participation of students, who repeatedly questioned the police and administration while maintaining their stance.
The protest occurred after a firework display failed. Following this, the students staged a sit-in strike. Since the publication Aaj Tak covered this issue, it became a topic of nationwide discussion. Taking the seriousness of the situation seriously, the Rajasthan Ministry of Education temporarily banned everyone, including journalists, social workers, and YouTubers, from visiting the school or filming or taking photos without permission. After this, teachers were immediately sent to the school.
The administration assured the students that all their demands would be met as soon as possible, which prompted the start of work in this direction. The toilets were renovated, tiled, and a new water purification complex was installed. A drilling system was also organized. The old building is being demolished with an excavator, and the new building has been renovated. The school building was divided into two parts, and the roof of the renovated building was waterproofed to prevent leaks during rain.
Work is also underway to set up a sports ground for the students. Manoj Sharma, the district education director, reported that the demolition of the old building is in progress, and seven rooms will soon be built in its place, with construction expected to start shortly. Additionally, work is being done to improve the playground. He emphasized that active development work is underway at the school, and every effort is being made so that the children do not face any difficulties. All promises made by the department and administration according to the children's requests are being fulfilled.
