Last night, a rally took place at Jantar Mantar in Delhi concerning the demand for changes to the reservation system. Protesters demanded that reservations be provided based on economic criteria rather than caste.
Active slogans were chanted during the event.
Nevertheless, the Delhi police dispersed the protesters, stating that there was no permit for the demonstration. Due to expected protests and unrest today, an RAF unit was stationed at Jantar Mantar.
