The critical condition of government schools in Rajasthan has been revealed. According to the state's budget documents, over 2500 schools are in dilapidated condition, and 300 schools do not have their own buildings.
Meanwhile, a conflict occurred in a village in the Jaipur district when a team from the Kokroch Janta Party (CJP), which arrived to inspect a school, was attacked, causing political resonance.
The government announced major plans to improve the condition of schools in the coming year. The official side claims that the previous government did not pay due attention to school buildings, which led to several accidents. 550 crore rupees will be allocated for the repair and reconstruction of over 2500 schools next year.
Furthermore, the construction of buildings for 300 schools that either lack structures or are in a dangerous condition will be carried out at the expense of 450 crore rupees. An additional 200 crore rupees has been allocated for the creation of more than 1500 new classrooms, laboratories, and computer classes. The implementation of facial recognition systems to increase attendance and the expansion of sanitary conditions in schools are planned.
Meanwhile, in the village of Rampura Kanwarpura, Jaipur, on Friday, a CJP team arrived to check a government school. According to reports, local residents and BJP activists attacked the team, breaking car windows and subjecting female workers to disrespectful treatment. This school operated in a buffalo enclosure and had previously been closed due to the building being declared unsafe.
CJP accused the police of inaction and demanded the arrest of the attackers within 48 hours. Education Minister Madan Dilawar stated that CJP seeks to sow unrest in Rajasthan, while Congress Chairman Govind Singh Dotasra called the attackers BJP activists. It is worth noting that after the incident in Halawada, the government presented an audit report to the legislative assembly, placing responsibility for negligence on the previous Ghahlot government.
