After protests, school in Jaipur temporarily moved from enclosure to residential house; residents await permanent building

Significant changes have occurred at the government school institution in Jaipur, where children were previously studying among buffalo enclosures. On Saturday, the situation changed drastically: following the issue being highlighted by AajTak, local residents took the initiative, and with the consent of the Education Department, the government school complex in Rampura Kanwarpura was temporarily relocated to a private house.

On Saturday morning, 18 children were already studying in the new premises. This is part of the 'Fix the School' campaign, which has been conducted by the Cockerouch Janata Party (CJP) in various regions of the country since August 15th. CJP members regularly visit schools to assess their condition.

Previously, representatives of the CJP had arrived in this village in Jaipur to inspect the deplorable state of the school, but a conflict arose on site, and the villagers asked them to leave. The reason was that the primary school was operating in a buffalo enclosure and did not provide a safe environment or the necessary basic conditions for learning.

After the issue attracted public attention, the villagers appealed to the Education Department, demanding that the school be moved to a safe location. Their request was granted, and for now, the decision has been made to hold classes in the house. Teachers and students found it easier after the school was moved to the new location.

The residents expressed hope that the school will soon operate in a permanent building. One resident who provided his roof for the children's education stated: 'The school is ours, and the children are ours.' He also promised full cooperation in the future construction of the school building.

Nevertheless, the villagers emphasized that turning issues concerning education and children into subjects of dispute is wrong. The school, which started in a buffalo enclosure, has reached a house, and now the residents expect it to soon be converted into a permanent building.
