If you are striving for natural lip care, homemade beetroot lipstick can be a beneficial remedy. This article presents a simple way to prepare natural beetroot lipstick that is easy to make at home.
Currently, people use various types of lipsticks to give their lips a pink and beautiful appearance. However, if you prefer natural alternatives to store-bought products, you can make beetroot lipstick at home. Lipstick made from beetroot will not only give lips a light pink tint but also help maintain them in a healthy condition. Preparing this product is quite simple and does not require a large number of ingredients.
The following components are needed for preparation: 2-3 tablespoons of fresh beetroot juice, 1 tablespoon of beeswax or petroleum jelly, 1-2 drops of Vitamin E oil, 1 tablespoon of glycerin.
First, you need to squeeze out the fresh beetroot juice. Then, it must be heated in a small saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes. After the juice thickens slightly, turn off the heat and let it cool.
Next, place the beeswax or petroleum jelly in a heat-resistant glass bowl. It needs to be melted by heating it in the microwave in short intervals. Once the wax has melted, add the thickened beetroot juice and glycerin to it, mixing thoroughly.
When the mixture cools down a bit, incorporate 1-2 drops of Vitamin E oil and mix well again. Transfer the finished mass into a clean and dry small lipstick container. Then, place this container in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours or overnight so that the mixture fully hardens. After hardening, the lipstick is ready to use.
It is important to remember that homemade lipstick cannot be stored for long due to the lack of preservatives. It should be kept in a clean container, and if the color, smell, or texture changes, it should not be used. Before first use, be sure to perform a patch test on a small area of skin around the lips.
