Rahul Gandhi to hold 'Voice of Students' event in Pune with 30 conditions

An event by Rahul Gandhi titled 'Voice of Students' is scheduled to take place in Pune, Maharashtra, on Saturday, August 22. The Pune police approved the event, but imposed 30 conditions on the organizers to ensure peace and safety. These conditions include a strict ban on displaying offensive posters, banners, or photographs.

The event will be held at the Samvad College ground in Pune. This location is familiar to Rahul Gandhi, as he previously held a large rally here during the 2024 election campaign. He will meet with students again at this venue.

The main focus of the program will be on issues concerning female students. Topics to be discussed include education, safety, equality, entrance exams, and career opportunities. The goal of this initiative is to provide young women with complete freedom to express their opinions, a safe environment, and equal chances for advancement.

The 'Voice of Students' campaign was initiated to include youth issues in the central agenda. Previously, similar events were held in Kota, Dehradun, and Prayagraj. In Prayagraj, Rahul Gandhi called the youth the greatest strength of the country, stating that India's future depends on the potential of its youth.

Before the event in Pune, a significant incident occurred in Delhi. During a demonstration at Jantar Mantar, Rahul Gandhi sat in protest in front of the Parliament Street police station over alleged use of pneumatic weapons. He demanded the registration of a criminal complaint regarding this matter, which was subsequently accepted by the police. Following the events in Delhi, all attention is now focused on the upcoming dialogue in Pune.
