As we age, collagen production in the skin decreases, leading to loss of skin elasticity, the appearance of wrinkles, and fine lines. To solve this problem, many people turn to expensive anti-aging and collagen creams available in stores. However, there is a way to create a very effective and natural collagen cream using just three ingredients found in your kitchen, instead of chemical products.
The combination of flaxseeds, aloe vera gel, and almond oil deeply nourishes the skin, stimulates collagen production, and gives sagging skin a natural firmness. Below is a simple instruction on how to prepare and use this remedy.
Take two tablespoons of flaxseeds and pour them into one cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the water turns into a thick, viscous gel. Then, immediately strain the hot flaxseed gel through cheesecloth or a sieve into a bowl and let it cool.
To the cooled flaxseed gel, add two tablespoons of fresh or store-bought aloe vera gel; this component helps moisturize and cool the skin. Next, add one teaspoon of pure almond oil. Almond oil is rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids that help reduce wrinkles.
Using a spoon or whisk, beat this mixture continuously for 3–4 minutes until it achieves a creamy and smooth texture. The finished collagen cream should be transferred to a small, clean, and dry glass jar.
This cream can be stored in the refrigerator and used for 10–15 days. It is recommended to apply this cream in the evening after washing the face and neck. Gently massage the cream into the skin for 2–3 minutes, moving from the lower part upwards, and leave it on overnight.
