Representatives from Uzbekistan and China held talks regarding prospects for increasing industrial interaction and implementing joint projects. These discussions took place in Chengdu on August 20, according to a message from the Agency of Uzbekistan for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement.
The meeting was part of an international event dedicated to the development of intelligent manufacturing. The delegation from Uzbekistan, represented by the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, participated in this event.
A representative of the agency, Mukhammadjon Islamkulov, presented a report on the agency's activities, measures aimed at developing industrial cooperation in Uzbekistan, as well as promising directions for partnership with Chinese companies.
The Chinese side demonstrated Chengdu's capabilities for international cooperation, as well as the city's potential in high technology, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing. Participants were also introduced to the activities of the Chengdu International Cooperation Center and the biotechnology sector in the Chengdu High-tech Zone.
Chinese enterprises engaged in regenerative technologies, biopharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical robotics presented their developments and future projects.
A separate meeting was dedicated to organizing Comprehensive Customs Zones (CBZ)—special zones operating under comprehensive customs control. Uzbek representatives studied China's experience in managing such zones, including their contribution to the development of foreign trade, logistics, customs procedures, and industrial cooperation.
After the conclusion of the meeting, the parties continued the discussion on further expanding industrial partnership between Uzbekistan and China, as well as establishing direct contacts between enterprises and defining mutually beneficial areas of cooperation. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing promising joint projects and applying Chinese experience in developing industrial cooperation.
