Upcoming Yash film 'Toxic' shows strong interest: 85 thousand tickets sold in a few hours

The wait for the upcoming Yash film 'Toxic' is drawing to a close, with only five days left until the premiere. The film has begun to demonstrate its potential, and preliminary data on its promotion looks very impressive. In just a few hours, the film's promotion showed that it is ready for a major box office launch.

Ticket Sales for 'Toxic'

The film 'Toxic' demonstrated a powerful start in advance ticket sales. According to Sakencilk, approximately 85 thousand (84,915) tickets have been sold so far, with the largest contribution coming from Karnataka. This is where the biggest fan base is located, which is reflected in the success of 'Toxic'.

The revenue for the first day, generated only from advance sales, reached 4.10 crore rupees, corresponding to 4,886 screenings. As the release date approaches, the number of screenings will naturally increase, and this amount does not yet include reserved seats. If reserved seats are taken into account, the total revenue for 'Toxic' will be 9.19 crore rupees.

It is worth noting that 3.07 crore rupees out of the total 4.10 crore rupees came from Karnataka, despite there being only 754 screenings there so far. Most of these shows are already full, and some are filling up quickly. In the city of Bangalore alone, 2.24 crore rupees in revenue has been earned from 549 screenings.

'Toxic's Impact on the Hindi Market

Yash's film 'Toxic' is also showing good results in the Hindi market. 25,312 tickets were sold across 4,140 screenings, generating 1.04 crore rupees in revenue. Although these figures may seem modest, it should be noted that advance sales have only just begun. Considering there are still four days until the release, the total collection on the first day across all languages is expected to be very significant, and Yash will also ensure a major launch in Hindi. It is worth noting that the ticket price for 'Toxic' is quite high; in cities like Mumbai and Bangalore, prices reach 2000 rupees.

It is worth recalling that Yash's previous film, KGF Chapter 2, collected over 1000 crore rupees worldwide. In Hindi, its opening day collection reached a net income of 53.95 crore rupees. Now it remains to see if 'Toxic' can surpass this record.

'Toxic' Approved by Censorship

Furthermore, there is another good piece of news for Yash's fans: the film 'Toxic' passed censorship without any edits, having only been changed in two places. The film's duration is set at 3 hours and 12 minutes. Yash's film is planned for a large-scale global release. Lionsgate Play intends to release it in 12,000 theaters worldwide. Thus, the coming week will be very important and significant for the Kannada superstar. The film 'Toxic' is scheduled for release on August 26.
