Uzbekistan has changed the electronic permit system for international road freight transport between Uzbekistan and China, switching to a request-based issuance model.
The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan recommended that national carriers apply for permits only when they have a specific planned shipment and a real need for the document.
The Ministry warned that obtaining permits without a justified need, including keeping them 'in reserve,' leads to unjustified use of the established quota and may limit opportunities for other carriers.
When applying, carriers must accurately specify the border crossing points through which they plan to enter China and leave the country. After receiving the permit, carriers must comply with current freight transport regulations, follow the declared route, and meet requirements regarding stay in China.
Any violations committed by carriers in Uzbekistan or China will be recorded by the relevant inspection services. Upon detection of a violation, the system will automatically restrict the carrier's ability to obtain subsequent electronic permits.
Furthermore, the ministry warned about possible technical glitches during the implementation of the updated system. In case of technical problems, carriers must immediately report this, providing the company name, vehicle state registration number, or application number. This information will help specialists determine the cause of the error and eliminate it.
