POCO has released the new affordable smartphone, POCO M8x 5G, in the Indian market. The company claims that this is the first smartphone in India equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. The device features a 7900 mAh battery.
The base model of the POCO M8x 5G, with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is available for ₹20,999. The model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will cost ₹22,999.
The first sale of the POCO M8x 5G smartphone is scheduled for August 27 on the Flipkart platform. As part of a special offer, customers can save ₹2000 on the first day of purchase.
The POCO M8x 5G is equipped with a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
According to the brand, this is the first smartphone in India to use the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. The device also incorporates the Adreno 613 GPU. It uses LPDDR4X memory and UFS 2.2 storage.
The main camera of the POCO M8x 5G has a resolution of 50MP with an f/1.8 aperture and includes a flicker sensor. The rear camera is capable of recording video in 1080p resolution. The front camera has an 8-megapixel resolution.
The POCO M8x 5G is fitted with a 7900 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Additionally, it features 22.5W reverse wired charging functionality.
