Russian company transferred sports equipment worth 1.3 million rubles to Uzbekistan

Agreements totaling $25 million were signed in Mordovia between companies from Uzbekistan and Mordovia. According to Artyom Zdunov, eight such partnership agreements were concluded during the forum.

The Republic of Mordovia has significant trade ties with Uzbekistan: trade volume has increased by 2.5 times since 2022, and the current value is estimated at nearly $70 million annually.

The event was attended by the head of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, representatives of Mordovian ministries and departments, as well as Alisher Zokirov, deputy head of Kashkadaryinsk region, and businessmen from both sides. Bilateral company meetings took place during the forum.

The Minister of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Mordovia, Ivan Gorin, noted that Uzbekistan is one of Mordovia's five largest partners in foreign trade. Although customs statistics show a turnover of $20 million, Gorin estimated the annual trade turnover at nearly $70 million, considering that some products are delivered through trading organizations in logistics centers in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.

Before the forum, a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Mordovia, led by Vitaly Platonov, visited the Kashkadaryinsk region on August 18–19. Alisher Zokirov reported that negotiations with entrepreneurs, state structures, livestock farms, and import-export companies took place during the visit.

Zokirov added that they discussed not just general phrases, but specific product supplies and projects. A need for the delivery of 17 thousand cattle for 44 farms was identified, and the issue of supplying sugar, potatoes, and beets was also discussed.
