Temperature expected to decrease in Uzbekistan over the weekend, but heat will persist in the south

A slight easing of the heat is predicted in Uzbekistan for the upcoming weekend. Air temperatures in most regions will drop to 32–35 degrees Celsius, although high figures of 37–40 degrees will remain in the southern territories. Overall, dry weather is expected in most areas.

According to information from Uzhydromet, on August 21, the temperature across the country will be 36–39 degrees, and in the south, it may reach 41–43 degrees.

On Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23, light cloudiness is expected. Nighttime temperatures will fluctuate between 18 and 21 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be from 32 to 35 degrees in most places, and from 37 to 40 degrees in the south. Precipitation is not forecast in most regions, but short-term rains are possible in some areas of the Fergana Valley on Saturday, August 22.

The wind will blow at a speed of 7–12 meters per second, with the possibility of strengthening up to 13–18 meters per second. In the south on August 22, wind gusts may reach 22–25 meters per second, and in some places, increased wind may cause dust storms.

In the capital, Tashkent, light variable cloudiness will persist, and no precipitation is expected there. The wind in Tashkent will be easterly, blowing at a speed of 3–8 meters per second, with a potential increase up to 10–12 meters per second. Dust storms are also possible in some parts of the capital. On August 21, the daytime temperature in Tashkent is expected to be 36–38 degrees, and on the weekend, 32–35 degrees, with a nighttime temperature of 18–21 degrees.
