Colgate-Palmolive India announced on Friday the appointment of Manish Anandani, who previously worked at Kenvue, as Executive Director and Managing Director, effective September 28.
This move comes as the company's Indian division focuses on premiumization as a growth driver in the local market, while the Indian consumer goods industry increasingly shifts to e-commerce as its primary sales channel.
Previously, Manish Anandani held the position of Managing Director for India and South Asia at Kenvue. This company was spun off from the consumer business of pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson and went public in 2023. Before his four years at Kenvue, he held various leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson.
Prior to that, he spent nearly 13 years at Colgate-Palmolive, working both within the India division and the global company, specializing in retail and e-commerce strategies.
The American consumer corporation's division reported that the current CEO and Managing Director, Prabha Narasimhan, has been promoted to a leadership role in the global company.
Prabha Narasimhan served as Managing Director and CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India for almost four years, possessing experience in senior management positions within the consumer goods industry. Following the announcement, the company's shares dropped by 1%.
