Prabha Narasimhan moves to role in Asia-Pacific region; Manish Anandani to lead Colgate India

Colgate-Palmolive India announced on Friday the promotion of Prabha Narasimhan to Executive Vice President of Marketing for the company's Asia-Pacific division, effective by the end of the business day on September 27th.

Manish Anandani will assume the duties of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Colgate-Palmolive India starting September 28th.

According to the company statement, Anandani is moving to Colgate-Palmolive India from Kenvue, which was previously part of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, where he served as Managing Director for India and South Asia.

Anandani previously worked at this company for 13 years, from 2005 to 2018, progressing through leadership roles in India, Indochina, and the corporate office, reaching the position of Global Head of Global Client Development.

Colgate-Palmolive India is intensifying its premiumization strategy, aiming to leverage strong business momentum and drive higher value-added growth in the country's oral hygiene market.

Prabha Narasimhan's Achievements

The company noted that over four years of leadership at Colgate-Palmolive India, Prabha Narasimhan guided the company through a transformative growth journey, strengthening its position as a market leader in oral hygiene. Under her leadership, the company enhanced strategic premiumization, accelerating the growth of its premium portfolio five times faster than the market average, while ensuring volume growth, industry-leading profitability, and stable revenue growth.

During her tenure in India, she also contributed to digital transformation, expansion of express delivery, and innovation implementation, while refocusing on category expansion to stimulate oral hygiene habits in both urban and rural areas of India.

Investments and Growth Channels

Furthermore, the company is increasing investments in its brands and growth opportunities. Digital screen victories have been a central driver of Colgate-Palmolive's recent growth. Through effective execution and results in e-commerce and express trade, these channels have become primary growth catalysts, contributing to increased growth, margin, premiumization, and market share.

The e-commerce channel shows high double-digit revenue growth, with over 50 percent of sales coming from premium products, and gross margin exceeding the company average by 400 basis points. The company added that thanks to the growing adoption of quick delivery by consumers in India, its strong execution allows it to uniquely capture value on these developing platforms.
