The staff strike at Ben Gurion Airport, Israel's main international transport hub located near Tel Aviv, ended on Thursday at 3:00 PM local time. This incident disrupted the plans of approximately 100,000 passengers, according to Jerusalem Post.
Workers stopped all check-in points at 2:00 PM local time, declaring a 'crisis.' The reasons for the work stoppage included operational difficulties, problems with loading and unloading aircraft, and a shortage of parking spaces. At the same time, all flights were suspended.
The Israel Airports Authority (IAA) reported that these disruptions, organized by the trade union, affected the airport's functioning and passenger service. Israeli Minister of Transport Miri Regev stated that the leaders of this 'illegal strike' would face a 'heavy price.'
