Mitsubishi Motors has launched the Triton Sertões, a special version of the pickup truck, in tribute to the Sertões Rally, an event for which the brand has been a sponsor for a long time. This edition has limited production and is available for the price of R$ 339,990.
The launch occurs shortly before the 34th edition of the Sertões Rally, which will begin on Saturday (22) in Goiânia and extend until the 30th, covering approximately 4 thousand kilometers in eight stages in the same city.
This series was developed in collaboration with the competition organizers and uses the Triton Savana as its base, which is the most robust configuration in the line. Production takes place at the factory located in Catalão, Goiás. The cost of this edition is R$ 10 thousand lower than the launch value of the Savana, which was announced in November 2025 for R$ 349,990, with a projected run of 80 units. Mitsubishi has not disclosed the exact number of vehicles that will be manufactured; sales can be made on the manufacturer's website or at dealerships.
Aesthetically, the body is painted in Concrete Gray Spot, with a pearlescent effect, and features Sertões orange details, the color used in the official rally emblem. Components such as the grille, Dynamic Shield, snorkel, and door trim are black, while the door handles and B-pillar receive a glossy black finish, adorned with graphics replicating the race route. The look is completed with decals on the hood and the Sertões logo applied to the front doors and tailgate.
Among the specific accessories, the roof rack equipped with X-Liner scratch-resistant lining and capable of carrying 50 kg stands out, in addition to including a recovery board, shovel, protective screen, santantônio, Rock Slider, and a rear tow hitch with a tow strap.
The 18-inch wheels are fitted with Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT LT265/60R18 tires, designed to withstand difficult terrain conditions. Inside, the seats are upholstered in leather with orange stitching and offer electric adjustments for the driver. The dashboard and front doors feature Soft Pad finishing in the same color, and the floor has rubber mats molded in a tray shape. A plaque identifying the Sertões edition is positioned on the dashboard, next to the passenger.
The Triton Sertões is powered by the 2.4 turbodiesel 4N16 Super High Power engine, which features a twin turbocharger and generates 205 horsepower and 47.9 kgfm of torque from 1,500 rpm. This engine is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission with adaptive INVECS-II calibration.
The traction system is managed by Super Select 4WD-II, which offers 2H, 4H, 4HLc, and 4LLc modes, complemented by seven driving programs: Normal, ECO, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock. The safety and assistance package includes hill descent control, active traction control, rear differential lock, and Active Yaw Control. The manufacturer states that the snorkel and elevated differential breather allow crossing flooded areas up to 80 centimeters deep.
Additionally, the standard equipment list includes a 9-inch multimedia center with offline GPS and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, two-zone automatic air conditioning, and a roof air circulator for rear passengers. The set is completed by rain and dusk sensors, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree view camera.
