Fergana Region Plans Launch of One Hundred New Local Brands

The Fergana region has set a goal to create one hundred new local brands as part of the '100 New Brands of Fergana' project. The Ministry of Justice reported that a seminar and training session dedicated to brand development, its legal protection, and promotion in both domestic and international markets took place in Fergana.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Justice, the administration of the Fergana region, and the regional representation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. Participants in the opening ceremony included Deputy Minister of Justice Muzraf Ikramov, Deputy Regional Governor Khurshid Akhmedov, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, entrepreneurs, government officials, experts, and media representatives.

The main objective of the seminar was to provide practical assistance to entrepreneurs from the Fergana region in creating their own brands, ensuring their legal protection, and promoting products both domestically and abroad. Participants received recommendations on forming corporate identity and design, registering trademarks in Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as on promoting newly created brands.

During the event, the Ministry of Justice also presented certificates to the administration of the Fergana region confirming the registration of Kokand patir and halva as geographical indications.
