Uzbekistan and the Russian company ADVANCED have reached an agreement on cooperation in the field of creating pharmaceutical production, localizing medicines, and transferring advanced technologies.

The meeting included discussions on the prospects for developing the pharmaceutical industry. Abdullah Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, met with representatives of ADVANCED, a Russian company founded by Indian entrepreneur Rajesh Sharma, on August 20.
Following this meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan, as reported by the Agency for the Development of Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
During the negotiations, possibilities for creating new production capacity, as well as developing research and development (R&D) activities, were discussed. Special attention was paid to expanding the range of pharmaceutical products and implementing modern technologies into production cycles, ensuring compliance with international quality standards.
ADVANCED representatives were presented with information about the opportunities for establishing pharmaceutical production in Uzbekistan, regional development plans, and the conditions created for implementing investment projects. The memorandum provides for joint work on production development, product localization, technology transfer, and the introduction of modern pharmaceutical solutions.
