Significant influence from the news of the publication Aaj Tak was felt in the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. The administration had to yield to the demands of Gen-Alpha students who were defending their rights. Following an incident involving misconduct and the beating of children in the village of Raipuraklan, District Magistrate Gajjal Bhardwaj and Police Chief Shashank Singh personally visited the village.
The officials held direct conversations with the children and promised to resolve issues related to road repairs, the creation of a library, a stadium, and water supply. Furthermore, they announced strict measures against police officers who behaved inappropriately towards the children.
It is reported that previously, Gen-Alpha children blocked the highway to demand repairs for the dilapidated road connecting the village to the main highway. During this protest, accusations arose against the City Station police, especially against Constable Manish Pandey, who allegedly treated the children roughly, used physical force, and threatened to pursue their parents.
After this incident became public knowledge, the situation escalated, and ultimately, the administration was forced to concede to the children's demands. District Magistrate Gajjal Bhardwaj and Police Chief Shashank Singh, along with administrative staff, arrived in the village of Raipuraklan. The officials organized a meeting in the village to talk to the children and listen to their problems.
Gajjal Bhardwaj noted that the children taking to the streets was regrettable. She explained to the children that blocking the highway affects emergency services, so in the future, they should directly approach teachers or officials regarding their problems. Pointing to the cause of the road deterioration, the magistrate stated that the potholes appeared on a road built by the district council due to the movement of a large number of commercial vehicles.
She also stated that temporary road repairs would begin immediately using an excavator due to the rain, and permanent construction would be completed within a month after the rainy season ends. During the meeting, a promise was also made to improve village conditions, including the library, stadium, and water supply, according to the children's requirements.
Village students, Sunil and Kumkum, looked very pleased with the administrative guarantees and the commencement of work on site. The children stated that if their demands had been heard earlier, they would not have had to stage demonstrations.
