A new wind power plant has been commissioned near the Chorvoq reservoir. As noted by Ergeshov, the generators automatically start at a wind speed of 3 meters per second and shut down when reaching 22 meters per second. The entire process is managed without human intervention, and electricity is generated solely from the force of the wind, without using any type of fuel.
Uzbekhydroenergo began testing wind energy technologies in the Bo'stonliq district in 2017. At that time, the first pilot wind installation with a capacity of 750 kW was launched.
