BYD India has introduced an updated version of its popular electric SUV, the Sealion 7. This new variant is positioned as an entry-level model and has received a dynamic name. The company's goal is to expand its audience reach by releasing a more budget-friendly version of this premium electric model.
The Sealion 7 model is available in four exterior color options: Atlantis Grey, Cosmo Black, Aurora White, and Shark Grey. The car is developed on the E-Platform 3.0 platform. Compared to other trims, the Dynamic variant of the Sealion 7 is equipped with a smaller battery and fewer features.
To make the BYD Sealion 7 more accessible to a wider range of buyers, the company has launched a new variant. The Dynamic version of the car is priced at 41.90 lakh rupees, including export duties. Additionally, the car is offered in two other trims—Premium and Performance.
Thus, the new Dynamic variant is 8 lakh rupees cheaper. Furthermore, its price is 14 lakh rupees lower than that of the top trim. The Dynamic version is equipped with a 71.8 kWh battery that powers a rear-wheel-drive motor with 231 hp. According to the company, this vehicle can travel a distance of 520 kilometers on a single charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.
As for the Premium and Performance trims, they are equipped with 82.56 kWh battery packs. The Sealion 7 Premium version features rear-wheel drive, generating 313 hp. The most powerful version, Performance, with 530 hp, has a dual-motor system and is equipped with all-wheel drive. The claimed range for the Premium and Performance versions is 567 kilometers and 542 kilometers, respectively.
